HLP oil
Mobil DTE 20 Ultra
Anti-wear oil for high-output pumps, servo valves and NC machine tools.
Choose it when:
- deposits build up in the system
- water can get into the oil
- the pump runs at high pressure
HLP oil
Mobil Nuto H
Anti-wear oil for hydraulics in moderate operating conditions.
Choose it when:
- you run gear, vane or piston pumps
- leaks cannot be avoided
- the oil sometimes holds some water
HVLP oil
Mobil Univis N
High viscosity index mineral oil for industrial, mobile and marine equipment.
Choose it when:
- the machine starts cold and runs very hot
- the system also has gears or bearings
- the machine works in a humid environment
Synthetic oil

What a good hydraulic oil protects against
A hydraulic system rarely stops suddenly. First come deposits on valves, air or water in the oil, and the machine responds more and more slowly.

DTE 10 Excel, DTE 20 Ultra and SHC 500 keep the system clean, so deposits do not block servo valves.
Pump wear
Every series on this page is an anti-wear oil that protects pumps and other system components.
Water in the oil
DTE 20 Ultra protects the system against water, and Nuto H filters well even with water in the oil.
Air and cavitation
DTE 10 Excel releases air quickly, which protects the pump from cavitation.
Cold starts and hot operation
Univis N, DTE 10 Excel and SHC 500 have a high viscosity index: they protect the system at cold start and at high temperature.
When to change hydraulic oil? Test a sample

HLP oil (DTE 20 Ultra, Nuto H) is enough for typical industrial hydraulics. Choose a high viscosity index oil (Univis N, DTE 10 Excel) when the machine starts cold and runs very hot.
The one the machine or pump manufacturer specifies. No manual? Send the machine model or current oil name, and we will select an equivalent.
DTE 10 Excel, DTE 20 Ultra or synthetic SHC 500. The manufacturer designs them for servo-valve systems because they limit deposits.
When a leak can reach soil or water, for example in forestry machines and on ships. SHC Aware Hydraulic 32 is biodegradable and carries the EU Ecolabel.
The oil condition tells you best, not the calendar. Sample analysis shows whether the oil can keep working or needs changing.
