Mobil DTE PM 220

Mineral oil, ISO VG 220

Mobil DTE PM

Mineral oil for paper machine circulating systems that lubricate bearings and gears.

Choose it when:

  • you lubricate a bearing and gear circulating system
  • water gets into the oil in the wet end
  • the machine must return to production fast after startup

Mobil SHC PM 320

Synthetic oil, ISO VG 320

Mobil SHC PM

Synthetic oil for the toughest paper machine circulating systems and calender rolls.

Choose it when:

  • the machine runs at high steam pressure and speed
  • you lubricate a calender roll circulating system
  • the oil works across a wide temperature range

Mobilith SHC PM 220

Synthetic grease, NLGI 1.5

Mobilith SHC PM

Grease for critical rolling bearings in paper machines, working from -40 to 150°C.

Choose it when:

  • rolling bearings are grease-lubricated, not circulating
  • the bearing works in the wet end or the press
  • you lubricate calender or felt roll bearings

How the oil protects
  • Water in the oil
DTE PM and SHC PM separate water easily. SHC PM keeps good filterability even with a lot of water in the system.
  • Rust and corrosion in the wet end
DTE PM protects against rust when water and chemicals get into the oil. Mobilith SHC PM protects bearings from corrosion in acidic and alkaline water.
  • High temperature and steam
Both oils resist oxidation. SHC PM lets the machine run at higher steam pressure, temperature and speed.
  • Deposits in lines and filters
The good filterability of DTE PM and SHC PM keeps oil lines and flow control devices free of deposits.
  • Bearing and gear wear
DTE PM and SHC PM protect bearings and gears against wear. Mobilith SHC PM protects slow-speed bearings under heavy load.

When to change paper machine oil? Test a sample

Sample analysis shows viscosity, oxidation, water and contamination, so you change the oil when it is needed. Order from OlejeSklep: oil analysis for paper machines. How oil analysis works

Questions before you buy

  • Mineral DTE PM handles typical paper machine circulating systems, including the wet end, where water gets into the oil. Choose synthetic SHC PM for the most demanding systems: high steam pressure, temperature and speed, and calender rolls.

  • DTE PM and SHC PM are circulating oils that lubricate bearings and gears. Mobilith SHC PM is a grease for grease-lubricated rolling bearings: in the wet end, the press, and calender and felt rolls.

  • Both greases are NLGI 1.5 and differ in base oil viscosity: ISO VG 220 or 460. The machine or bearing documentation gives the right viscosity. If you do not have it, we will choose it together.

  • It is compatible with most mineral oil-based greases, but mixing reduces its performance. The manufacturer recommends cleaning the system thoroughly before changing grease.

  • Start with the machine documentation, but sample analysis tells you the timing most reliably. Viscosity, oxidation, water and contamination show whether the oil can keep working.
